1. About this app and this policy
TMR Pulse is a workplace self-service application for employees. It lets staff check in and out of work, request time off, view payslips and expenses, record their mood, and communicate with their HR department.
TMR Pulse is a client application: it connects to an Odoo server operated by your employer (the organisation that provides you with the app). Your personal and employment information is stored in your employer's own Odoo system, not on servers owned by TMR Computing. Your employer is the data controller for that information; TMR Computing provides the software.
This policy explains what the app does with information on your device and how it communicates with your employer's server. If you have questions about how your employer stores or uses your employment data, please contact your employer's HR department.
2. Information the app handles
The app only handles information needed to provide its features. Specifically:
Account and sign-in information. To sign in, the app sends the server address, database name, your login (email) and password to your employer's Odoo server. Your login and password are stored only on your device, in the operating system's encrypted secure storage, so you don't have to re-enter them each time. They are transmitted only to your employer's server, over an encrypted connection, to keep you signed in.
Location. When you check in or out of attendance, the app reads your device's location to record where the attendance took place and, where your employer has configured office geofences, to confirm you are on-site. Location is read only at the moment you check in or out — the app does not track your location in the background. The location is sent to your employer's Odoo server as part of the attendance record.
Camera and photos. When a time-off type or an expense requires a supporting document, the app lets you take a photo or choose an image, which is then attached to that request on your employer's server. The app accesses the camera or photo library only when you choose to attach a document.
Biometric authentication. If you enable biometric unlock, the app uses your device's fingerprint or face recognition through the operating system to unlock the app. The app never receives, stores, or transmits your fingerprint or face data — that data stays within your device's secure hardware and is handled entirely by the operating system.
Notifications. If you enable reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. These are generated on the device; no notification content is sent to TMR Computing.
Work information you view or submit. Through the app you may view or submit employment information held in your employer's Odoo system — for example attendance records, leave requests, payslips, expenses, mood entries and messages to HR. This information is stored on and served from your employer's Odoo server.
3. What we do NOT do
- We do not use advertising, and the app contains no ads.
- We do not include analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting SDKs, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
- TMR Computing does not collect your personal or employment data on its own servers through this app. Data flows between your device and your employer's Odoo server.
4. How information is stored and protected
- Your login credentials and app preferences are stored in your device's encrypted secure storage.
- Communication between the app and your employer's server uses encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections.
- Your employment information is stored on your employer's Odoo server and is subject to your employer's own security and retention practices.
5. Data sharing
The app shares information only with the Odoo server operated by your employer, in order to provide its features. It does not share information with TMR Computing or any third party for their own purposes.
6. Data retention
Information stored on your device (credentials, preferences) remains until you sign out or uninstall the app. Signing out removes the stored credentials from your device. Employment information stored on your employer's server is retained according to your employer's policies.
7. Your choices
- You can sign out at any time to remove stored credentials from your device.
- You can disable biometric unlock, location, notifications, or camera access at any time in your device settings or within the app.
- To access, correct, or delete your employment information, contact your employer's HR department, which controls that data.
8. Children
TMR Pulse is intended for use by employees in a workplace and is not directed at children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any change, and the current version will always be available at this page.
